Course Overview

This course provides foundational instruction in the principles and practices of dental assisting. Students will learn essential chairside, administrative, and clinical-support skills used in general dental practices. Training includes classroom instruction, demonstrations, hands-on practice, and guided skill development in a simulated clinical environment.

The program is designed to prepare students for entry-level employment as dental assistants. Completion of this course results in a Certificate of Completion. Additional state requirements may apply for individuals seeking regulated credentials.

Course Duration

12 Weeks

Radiography Foundations

(Note: practical radiography tasks may require additional state-approved training)

Patient & Practice Management

  • Follow administrative tasks such as scheduling, record accuracy, and communication
  • Demonstrate appropriate professional behavior, confidentiality, and patient rapport

Assessments & Requirements

To receive a Certificate of Completion, students must:

  • Attend a minimum of 85% of scheduled sessions
  • Complete all required lab activities

  • Achieve a passing score on written and practical evaluations
  • Maintain professional conduct throughout the program
